(this was written on September 4, 2013, I delayed posting until it was offically announced) Lee and I applied for a Family Building Grant from The Tinina Q. Cade Foundation a few months back. The Cade Foundation works closely with Shady Grove Fertility and grants up to $10,000 to families to help overcome infertility. Well today we received a call from Dr. Camille Hammond, the founder of the Cade Foundation to let us we were chosen to receive a $5,000 Family Building Grant! Lee and I are ecstatic!!! This will help get us a little bit closer to our dream of starting our own family. What a great way to celebrate Rosh Hashanah- The Jewish New Year! The only downside is we have to use the money by December 31, 2014. The biggest hurdle we are now facing is having a willing and available Gestational Carrier. We thought the money would be the hardest part.
