30 Weeks Gestation & Hospital Tour

We had our Hospital Tour this weekend. Heather, Stephanie and Liam came along, and there was one other couple there as well. The hospital is very nice, the labor rooms are insanely huge and include a whirlpool tub and yoga balls and all sorts of other tools to promote labor.
I asked the nurse that was leading the tour many surrogacy specific questions and she suggested I call a social worker later this week as she didn't have answers for me. Since they are so flexible in many other aspects I'm hoping they are understanding and flexible in our situation as well.

We are continuing our weekly prenatal yoga classes and I have to say they have become the highlight of my week. The beautiful pregnant bellies all around me, the maternal energy in the room is amazing.  And spending atleast 10 uninterrupted minutes feeling my son kick around at the ending rest recharges me for the week. I am so glad we decided to do this.

Monday night we went to a Q&A/tour thing at a local Pediatrician's office that was recommended to us. There were a good 10 other couples there, and thankfully they all had great questions to ask so we were on own on with that.  We did decide to go forward with them as our provider. The pediatrician on call at the hospital will have to do the first physical since our pediatrician does not have rights at that hospital.

We recently had our laundry room finished and a 1/2 bath added to our basement. This extra space will come in handy once our little man is here as we tend to hang out in the basement most evenings. We needed to complete this project (which turned out to be such a almost a 6 month headache!) before we could even start to organize or decorate the nursery. So now that's its done I can't wait to get a dedicate space for our little man...and all his crap..err gear!
And now I don't have to cower from the scary spider webs when I do the many loads of laundry I except are coming our way!
