We got to feel him move!! We went over to Heather and Stephanie's for one of our regular dinner nights and Heather was determined for me to feel him move. She had been feeling him move around for about a week now and didn't want anyone else (even her wife!) to feel him until I could (how sweet!!!). So after dinner we sat on the couch and I read him a bedtime story. I honestly never realized before how morbid and down right creepy traditional bedtime stories and nursery rhymes are though! I read part of one about The Dog with No Voice, and another about a Squirrel and I then felt him kick (or punch) and then also a limb or something slide across the whole front of her belly. I was glowing, completely amazed. I quickly grabbed Lee's hand and he also got to feel some movement!

On Saturday June 13th, we all went to the Baltimore Zoo for the Cade Foundation's annual 5k charity Race for the Family. It was a hot day.... like in the 80s before 8am hot, and over 90 went we left at 10am.
Lee and Stephanie ran the 5k...which turned out to be nearly a 5.5k (confusion on where the starting line really was). Heather, Liam and I walked the 1 mile family friendly path. It was pretty awesome doing the walk through the zoo, we got to see tortoises, flamingos, lions and prairie dogs...all the other animals were still sleeping I guess! Everyone loved the shirts we were wearing and one lady even approached Heather thanking her for being a surrogate and explaining she has a surrogate due in just a few weeks.

Afterwards we went and got our Pre-Birth Order paperwork notarized. Our lawyer will present them to a judge this week to get it finalized. With this paperwork Lee and I will go directly onto the birth certificate avoiding us having to adopt our own biological child which some people in other states have to do.
